Todd M. Smith
After graduating from the University of Miami with a non-musical degree, Todd M. Smith returned to his home in Vermont to further devote himself to his musical passions. He worked at developing a songwriting style of his own, and In 1996 was invited to perform at the NEMO convention in Boston. One of Todd's compositions was also included on the NEMO promotional CD, alongside Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy." He moved to Boston in 1998 because of a serious eye condition, and subsequently he attended and graduated from the Berklee College of Music. From 2003-4 he was the music director, guitarist, and vocalist for a rock 'n soul review. From 2004-5 he was involved in an original world-folk-pop project. Since then he has worked as a guitarist/producer for local singer/songwriters, as well as working on his own original material. Most recently he has joined the band Starr Faithfull on keys, guitar, and backing vocals. Todd has traveled to Ireland several times over the past decade, and many of his pieces are influenced by the Celtic sound. The mostly self-taught multi-instrumentalist is proficient on guitar, bass, drums, and keys, is learning the fiddle, and is available for lessons if you live in the Boston area.
